Biography
With two decades of experience in team building and product development, Bruno adeptly combines a lean, agile approach with the demands of the corporate world. His journey began during the Internet bubble, where he developed innovative mobile applications for PalmPilot in a health-focused startup, navigating the early stages of what would later become the smartphone revolution.
Bruno was a pioneer in promoting software agility within his organization, even before the concept gained widespread recognition. He played a key role in developing high-traffic content management systems for leading Canadian media companies, adapting to a landscape dominated by television and print. His foresight in virtualizing server infrastructure delivery systems marked a significant leap at a time when virtualisation was nascent and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) was still emerging.
His leadership extended to architecting a large-scale traffic service for an advertising network, managing billions of interactions, at a time when simpler, three-tier architectures were the standard. Bruno also brought his innovative mindset to a globally recognized open-source project, enhancing its downstream culture in a way that was as unconventional as it was effective.
Beyond his technical expertise, Bruno has been instrumental in transforming siloed engineering, product, IT, and Data Science teams into unified, agile entities. His focus on DevOps and cloud-native services, combined with the utilization of AI, has significantly scaled product development processes.
Bruno's personality is as multifaceted as his professional skills. Part Frenchman with a notable accent, he also possesses a deep appreciation for the finer things in life, such as piano, cheese, and wine. Currently, he is applying his extensive knowledge and innovative approach to serve the needs of technology companies, working both independently and as a fractional Chief Technology Officer (CTO), guiding these organizations through the complexities of the modern tech landscape.
